English Awards

 

JUNIORS
Excellence in English certificates may be given out by teachers during the year. This acknowledges a student’s classroom work and effort.

At the end of year prize giving, students who are top of their class will receive a 1st in Class certificate. Merit Awards for Excellence in English are given to the best four students in English at each of Year 9 and Year 10. A trophy for First in English is given to each of the top English students at Year 9 and 10.

The winners of the Year 9 and Year 10 speech competition each receive the Speech Cup for their year level.
The best writer in the junior school will receive the Junior Writing Award.
A selected junior debating student will receive the Most Improved Junior Debater certificate.

 

SENIORS
The best senior student will receive 1st in English at their year level.
The winner of the Year 11 and Years 12/13 speech competition each receive the Speech Cup for their year level.
The best writer in the senior school will receive the Senior Writing Award.
A selected senior debating student will receive the Senior Debater Award.
