Sports Exchanges:

Annual Sports exchanges are held with Waitara High School and Tauhara College, Taupo. Many of our students are involved in the range of sports played and gain from meeting with students from different High schools.

Sports Academy:

Senior students who have a particular interest in furthering their involvement in sport are able to become a member of the school’s Sports Academy. Personal fitness and a positive attitude are targeted as well as growth in the student’s particular sporting code.

InterLake Competitions:

Regular Interlake competitions are held in a variety of sports. Points are gained for the students’ Lake and those who perform at a high or elite level are given the opportunity to compete in wider fields.

Sporting Contacts and Opportunities Outside of Tokoroa:

Forest View students regularly compete in New Zealand and North Island Secondary School competitions. We have a proud record of students who have competed successfully at regional, national and international levels in several different codes. We provide some financial support for students who represent New Zealand in their code of sport and celebrate their participation at this level.

Years 9 and 10 End of Year Activities:

From 2004 we introduced an EOTC programme in which all students are given a range of activities to choose from for their end of year Outdoor Education programme.

Some of the choices are water skiing, rock climbing, black water rafting, clay pigeon shooting, horse trekking, visiting Wellington and many others.

2009 WAIKATO SECONDARY SCHOOLS ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS 13 athletes traveled to Hamilton to compete in the Waikato Secondary Schools Athletics Competition.
We are thrilled with the results.
