As a response to employer feedback the Gateway Programme has been implemented in the South Waikato.
The programme differs by:

Having strict student entry criteria to Gateway work placements based on employer expectations
Having learning outcomes tied to the Gateway work placement which contribute to National Qualifications (including NCEA at all levels)
Targeting our top senior students; (Years 11,12 & 13)
Having devoted staffing and resources to ensure the quality of the Gateway Programme
Matching student interest and employer needs
