PACIFICA
BEATS ROTORUA HEATS
Emerge,
Forest View High School's Pacifica Beats entry are
a 9 piece band who competed for a spot in the National
Final in Rotorua on Saturday the 25th of June. After
two terms of preparation, Emerge turned up with their
game face and performed their two original songs with
style and flair. After a nervous wait, Emerge walked
away 1st place winners and also received the Stage
Presence Award. Summer Ratima-Thompson also won the
Mana Wahine award for best overall female at the event.
I would like to thank the band for all the effort
they put into the songs and performance practice and
all the staff and students that have supported us
so far. Bring on the Nationals!
