Forest View would like to congratulate the following current and past students on their achievements.

Great work guys you should be proud of yourselves.

Outward Bound

Year 12 student Hikairoa Mohi has won a scholarship to participate in the JR McKenzie Youth Course of Outward Bound. Hikairoa will be spending her term 3 school holidays in Anakiwa (Marlborough Sounds). Hikairoa will share some of her personal highlights and outcomes of her outward bound experience in the first school newsletter of term 4.

Taratahi Cup for Best Overall Student

Adam Stokes graduated from Taratahi Agricultural Training Centre in Masterton at the end of 2008 after completing 18 months study which has enabled him to complete Level 2, 3 and 4 National Certificates in Agriculture (Dairy). His achievement is the result of his dedication and commitment in his chosen career path. He is an excellent role model for those who wish to go farming but who do not come directly from farming backgrounds. Adam has been awarded several prizes from Taratahi including Best Overall Dairy Student, Best Practical Skills, Top Level Four Dairy Student and the Taratahi Cup for Best Overall Student.

During 2008, Adam also received a Wairarapa Adult Learners Award given to those who have made an exceptional contribution in the area of adult learning. Adam’s philosophy is, “Basically you get out what you put in- that sums it up. If you come to Taratahi with the right attitude you will basically get everything out of it that you need. That’s the way I look at it.” Adam attended Forest View High School 2003-2007 and was an active participant in our Agriculture Academy. We are proud of Adam’s success.

Waikato Golfer Part of Provincial Championship Team

During the second week of the school holidays Kelly Nicholas was the youngest member of a very youthful Waikato team who won the New Zealand Women’s Inter provincial Golf Championship. I commend Kelly for her performance and look forward to observing her future progress in this sport.

Do you know of something we don't?

Can you help us keep up-to-date?

Quite often students achieve outside of school and we would like to recognise their achievements.

Email your news with an attached photo to the Office or Mrs Bennion.
