Taratahi
Cup for Best Overall Student
Adam
Stokes graduated from Taratahi Agricultural Training
Centre in Masterton at the end of 2008 after completing
18 months study which has enabled him to complete
Level 2, 3 and 4 National Certificates in Agriculture
(Dairy). His achievement is the result of his dedication
and commitment in his chosen career path. He is an
excellent role model for those who wish to go farming
but who do not come directly from farming backgrounds.
Adam has been awarded several prizes from Taratahi
including Best Overall Dairy Student, Best Practical
Skills, Top Level Four Dairy Student and the Taratahi
Cup for Best Overall Student.
During 2008, Adam also received a Wairarapa Adult
Learners Award given to those who have made an exceptional
contribution in the area of adult learning. Adam’s
philosophy is, “Basically you get out what you
put in- that sums it up. If you come to Taratahi with
the right attitude you will basically get everything
out of it that you need. That’s the way I look
at it.” Adam attended Forest View High School
2003-2007 and was an active participant in our Agriculture
Academy. We are proud of Adam’s success.

During the second week of the school holidays Kelly

Do
you know of something we don't?
Can
you help us keep up-to-date?
Quite
often students achieve outside of school and we would like
to recognise their achievements.
