School Uniform

Students at Forest View are required to wear the school uniform in Years 9 to 12.

They are expected to be in the full and correct uniform from the time they leave home to the time they return home at the end of the day.

Students should wear their uniform with pride. There is one uniform for junior students and one for the seniors that is worn throughout the year.

The school uniform has been refined to allow students to wear any part of their uniform at any time. There is no Winter or Summer uniform. As long as it is allowed for their age level they can mix and match in relation to the weather.

There are restrictions on the size and amount of jewellery that can be worn and boys must be clean-shaven from Year 9 through to and including Year 12. In practical classes there are other safety and hygiene requirements.

Year 13 students are allowed to wear tidy mufti but the following apply: No casual rubber jandals. No singlet or shoestring tops. (Sleeveless tops are fine). Bare midriffs and low cut revealing tops are NOT acceptable. No violent slogans on clothing - i.e. to do with alcohol, drugs or swear words. Jewellery code is the same as for the rest of school. All clothes should be clean and tidy - not scruffy. If you are representing the school at any time you are expected to be dressed appropriately. Koha is expected to be paid on mufti days.

Jackets other than Polar fleece must be navy and are not expected to be work in class. NO HATS are to be worn in class. Hats are to be Forest View High School official cap or beanie ONLY.

Scarves may be work but they must be in the school colors (Navy or White - single or mixed is allowed - Grey or Black scarves are not acceptable).

Students are allowed to wear ONE only piece of facial jewellery - which must be a small stud.
