Horse of the Year Competition

Congratulations to Sarah Young who has recently returned from competing in the Horse of the Year competition held in Hastings. This event is one of the biggest horse shows in New Zealand and is held over three days.

On Day 1 in the main event Sarah with her three ponies, were placed 5th out of 30 competitors and in other classes she managed two 1st placing’s, a 2nd, two 3rd placing’s and a 5th.

Day 2 in the 17 years and under Equitation class Sarah was placed 3rd overall.
On the final day of competition Sarah gained excellent results throughout the day and won the Category B Showhunter Pony of the Year.
